Florida Veterans Support LIne

2-1-1 Brevard employs two veterans of the U.S. military to provide support and connections to community resources for their peers on the Space Coast, as well as Volusia and Flagler counties.

If you are a veteran in need or know a veteran in need, call 2-1-1 or the Florida Veterans Support Line at 1-844-MyFLVet (693-5838).

Callers will receive:

  • Referrals to comprehensive information and referrals to programs funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs and community-based services.
  • Confidential support 24/7 from a trained specialist, many of whom are veterans.

A veteran also may be offered ongoing support from a veterans team care coordinator.

2-1-1 Brevard participates in the Brevard Veterans Resource Network, a coalition of groups providing resources and support to veterans, active-duty military and their families throughout the county.

Organizations and individuals in the BVRN work to increase communication and coordination among agencies and in the community.

They include community leaders who represent government, nonprofit and business entities and meet quarterly to update, exchange information, assess gaps and collaborate.

The Brevard Veterans Resource Network represents the unified activities of the Community Blueprint-Brevard, an initiative co-led by the Military Officers Association of America-Cape Canaveral Chapter and the Community Foundation for Brevard since 2013, and a project developed by a team in LEAD Brevard’s Class of 2016.

A leadership group provides strategic guidance and oversight of BVRN efforts. It includes representatives from 2-1-1 Brevard, Community Foundation for Brevard, Eastern Florida State College, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, MOAA-Cape Canaveral, Melbourne Vet Center, Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic and Volunteers of America.
