ADA Website Policy
211 Brevard is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience in accordance with ADA standards and guidelines.
Standards we strive to meet.
211 Brevard strives to meet the following accessibility standards: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA, to ensure our digital offerings are ADA Compliant.
Ways we meet standards.
- Alt-text is used on all images.
- Text to background color contrast meets a 4.5:1 ratio.
- Header tags have a common-sense hierarchy throughout the website.
- User-friendly layout throughout our website on desktop/tablet and mobile devices.
- Fonts are set to be relative and adjustable by web browsers so that they can be changed to accommodate different needs.
As new assistive technology becomes available for visitors with disabilities, we will make every effort to add those features to our website. Our goal is to ensure that visitors with disabilities have the same experience as visitors without disabilities.
Beyond our existing remediation measures, we continually review our website to ensure we adhere to best practices in web accessibility.
We make every effort to ensure the site conforms to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These guidelines are the benchmark for ensuring visitors who use assistive technology users have the same experience as visitors who do not use this technology.
Any individual who believes material on this site is inaccessible and is considered to be a violation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and/or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may call us at 321-631-9290 or ContactUs@211brevard.org.
