One of the best things to come out of 2-1-1 Day was this video from the Feb. 4 meeting of the Brevard County Commission. And one of the best things in the video is the comments by County Manager Howard Tipton.
“Libby (Donoghue) and her team have just done a remarkable job and we really are a much stronger and safer community with them,” he said after reading the proclamation of 2-1-1 Day for Feb. 11.
Watch all one minute and 17 seconds here:
“We didn’t expect much fanfare when we went to accept the proclamation,” said Libby Donoghue, executive director. “But we got a wonderful surprise.”
Chairwoman Mary Bolin Lewis presented the framed version to Donoghue and communications manager Belinda Stewart, who had requested it from the commission.
Editing of the video was donated by Chris Kridler of Sky Diary Productions, and two versions are posted on 2-1-1 Brevard’s new YouTube channel.
The “short version” hit 211 views as of 3:37 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, after a push via email and social media.
Text of the proclamation follows:
